Setting the local time & date
1. Look at the face of the Module. A number followed by the word "Days" is displayed on the top line. Insert a pointed object such as a paper clip into the opening marked "Set" at the back of the Module and press. The screen will change - the top line disappears and the numbers on the screen mean; Month, Date & Year.
2. Within five seconds press M1. If you don't press M1 within 5 seconds, the word "Days" will re-appear on the screen. If this happens, press Set again, then M1. The number for the current year will begin to flash. Press set as many times as needed to change the number to the current year. Then press M1 button again.
3. The Month will now begin to flash. Press set until the display shows the current Month, then press M1 again.
4. The Day of the month will be flashing. Press set to advance the hour, then press M1 button. The minutes will be flashing, press set to advance the minutes, once again press the M1 button. Then P or A (for pm or am) will flash, press set for A or P, once again press the M1 button.
5. The Hours will be flashing. Press set to advance the hour, then press the M1 button. The minutes will be flashing, press set to advance the minutes, once again press the M1 button. Then P or A (for pm or am) will flash, press for A or P, once again press the M1 button.
The display will now show the digits representing days will reappear.
Setting Your Countdown Clock For Your Special Future Date
1. Press M2 once. A star in the upper right hand corner of the screen will appear.
2. Press Set. The number for the year will begin to flash. Press set again to advance the number to your target date. Then press M2.
3. The number for the Month will now be flashing. Press Set to change your target month and then M2.
4. The number for the date will now be flashing. Use Set to advance the date to your target day and once again press M2.
The display will now show the number of days, hours, minutes & seconds until your target date.
Note that each press of Set advances the display by one digit. If you press & hold the button for two seconds the numbers will advance at a faster rate. When you release the button the advance will again be by one digit each time the button is pushed.
Time Adjustments Along the Way…From Time to Time!
All the fine digital clocks tend to lose a few seconds every month, therefore, you may want to adjust the time (seconds) accordingly. When you are making these adjustments, refer to the instructions for the correct procedure. Remember, the seconds are always reset to "0".
Changing the Battery
Your Countdown Module is powered by an AG10 Button battery. The battery is easily replaced if required by opening the battery compartment located at the rear of the clock.
